A diagnosis

She does have an infection. She has been placed on antibiotics. She is still on the ventilator on room air. She got a blood transfusion but seems to be doing all right. The big things we are praying for is that she doesn’t get worse before the antibiotics really kick in. That she does well with her feedings and doesn’t have an infection settle into her intestines and that she tolerates her increased feeds so she can get rid of her iv feeds. And that she is able to get off the ventilator and can breathe on her own without CPAP or any other help. Basically that the infection leaves, and she continues to grow and develop without any more setbacks or long term effects from this infection.
